Every day we make many small lifestyle choices that impact our emotional health on a much deeper level than we give credit for. Emotional health needs to be addressed from a biopsychosocial perspective unfortunately the bio side of things can often be left ignored, especially for women. Sleep, mindfulness, diet, mindset, exercise, hormone balance, and interpersonal connection all need to be addressed when we are looking to heal our hearts and our minds however they are often overlooked.
The purpose of the lifestyle optimization is not to act in place of a doctor or a nutritionist but to identify specific lifestyle choices that could be modified to optimize our healing process. These changes often are free or relatively inexpensive, easily implemented, and have a significant impact that can be noticed almost immediately.
